چکیده

Abstract Background Homeostatic regulation of cardiomyocytes is indispensable in maintaining the normal physiological activity cardiac tissue. Cardiotoxicity induced by drugs may lead to abnormalities such as arrhythmia, myocardial infarction and hypertrophy. Moreover, drug-induced cardiotoxicity confines additional use implicated drugs. Several studies have reported that consumption phytochemicals on regular intervals shall protect humans against numerous diseases diabetes, cardiovascular disease, inflammatory cancer. Main body Ferulic acid (FA) a plant derived polyphenol abundantly found vegetables, fruits grains. FA widely known for its antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, anticancer, nephroprotective hepatoprotective effects. has been well documented cardioprotective various toxic agents well. However, action remained challenge with regard understanding mechanism health diseases. Conclusion The main purpose this review explore mechanisms several chemicals recommend further investigate potential protective effect FA.
